A simple Google search can reveal whether you’re dealing with cancer, according to a study published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
The study looked at 1.2 million adults and found that people who searched for cancer were more likely to be diagnosed with it than those who searched without searching.
If you do search for cancer, though, there are many ways to narrow down the risk.
For example, you might be more likely if you are obese or have other health issues.
There are also a few things you can do to decrease your chances of getting cancer.
“We know that obesity is linked to increased risk for cancer,” said lead author David Zimmet, a professor of medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
Zimmett is the co-director of the Obesity Research Center at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
“And obesity is also associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease, cancer and diabetes.
So it is clear that if we want to reduce our risk of cancer, obesity is a key factor.”
There are some specific things you should do to reduce your chances: Eat a healthy diet.
Eating a diet low in saturated fat, sugar, refined grains and added sugars is important to reducing your risk of developing cancer.
Eat lots of fruits and vegetables.
These are also good sources of fiber and vitamin C, which can help reduce inflammation in the colon and pancreas.
If the doctor recommends you do this, consider it a “good” option, but if it’s not, consider limiting the amount of fruits or vegetables you eat to a daily limit.
Being active is another important factor.
People with a lower risk of colorectal cancer are more likely than those with a higher risk to exercise.
“Our research shows that people with a high risk of colon cancer, as well as those with chronic inflammatory diseases such as asthma and allergies, are also more likely that they will get cancer,” Zimmer said.
If people with cancer have low activity, the risk of their cancer spreading is even lower.
Stay in touch with family and friends.
“If you have a close friend or family member who has cancer, they may want to talk to you about it,” Zemmet said.
“This may help them feel better.”
Zimmaet is now working on a book about his research.
Find a cancer center.
Zemmett also has another book coming out in the fall called “Cancer Care: The Ultimate Guide to the Prevention, Treatment and Management of Cancer.”
